UCAS points foundation year degree apprenticeship

I am currently doing a Foundation year for comp sci however i want to do a digital technology solutions degree apprenticeship as im a muslim and dont want any jnterest from the uni degree there is a degree apprenticeship program at the university i am currently at and i was told after i finish the foundation year i could just transition into the degree apprenticeship however this unfortunately wasn’t true i am also only 8 UCAS Points short of the entry requirements for the degree apprenticeship should i carry on with the foundation year or drop out and gain UCAS points from another course and apply to the degree apprenticeship program as i know that foundation years dont give you ucas points
