why u got p3 and p3 twice and p2 and p2 twice:s-smilie:

As you can score that combination in two different ways. It's the same reason I have got P(3) x P(1) and P(1) x P(3).

err didnt you do tree diagram there are only 6 probabilities
i flopped the paper my interpolation didnt work because the answer i kept getting wasnt between my median class of 8-10 so i spoent like 20 mins wondering where i had goen wrong and that just ruined my timing

that's not true yeah you can score P(3) and P(1) in two possible ways, but you can't score P(2) and P(2) in two different ways, that's nonsense whichever way u put it, it's allways going to be the same combination

For the Rohit question in S1 on 19/01/09 I got 0.18. I'd like to know what everyone else got?
lol yes indeed jdel

Why did people only take 4 as a possibility?

The answer clearly said at least 10 points, therefore he needed at least 4 points, he could have gotten 5 points or 6 points.
Yes but the chance of getting P(2) x P(2) is doubled then
1+3, 2+2, 2+3 , 3+1 3+2 3+3 are all the possibilities
