I think it's nice. I never shopped in Woolworths, but I really liked it as a store - it's a bit like the BBC, not great at what it does, but you keep it because of tradition.

Can't wait. I miss it already

Don't Coles own Woolies?

God I miss Aus; Vegemite and Tim Tams :'(

And he just smiled and gave me a vegemite....sandwich

Hmm, I'm not sure I'd like my pic 'n' mix sent via post.

My first thought.
There's really no point of woolworths without pic n mix.

Its not the same. You can't ask your mum for a fiver and go down and get the latest single, as well as the tiniest bit of pic n mix that the remaining change can offer.

Still a start I guess. Might start opening a few stores. Maybe. :emo:

Woolworths is huge over here. They are the equlivant of Tescos.

Same as in South Africa, it's a food shop, same with M&S.

It was so weird when I went out there, Woolworths was the opposite of what it is over here and there was no pick and mix :frown:

Unless I'm mistaken, I'm sure the Woolworths in South Africa is actually owned by M&S and has nothing to do with the British Woolworths. That may even be the case for the Woolworths in Australia or elsewhere too, and why the ones abroad are 'superior' to the British ones.

Yea, I'm pretty sure they are but it was still weird seeing it as this completely different entity though, so different to the Woolworths I was used to.
err, good luck to them as they have loads of competition!

Why would I buy from Woolworths for inflated prices because of the "Woolworths brand/name" when I can easily get stuff from other online retailers like eBuyer, Play, Amazon etc.
