I've lost my stethoscope - trusty Littman Classic II which I had since 4th year at medical school. Can't decide whether to just replace it or go for an upgrade. Thoughts?

Upgrade! I started using a master cardiology steth I got as a present for getting into medical school and avoided using as a student (and have surprisingly not felt like a nob with this extra superfluous bling). I have actually started picking up weird and wonderful murmurs I have previously missed with my classic II, LIKE A BOSS. This might just be down to a little more experience, who knows!

(e.g. a tricuspid stenosis proven by echo later)

Still definitely on the cards. Didn't want to miss out on the MRCS Part A though, as surgery is also on the cards and it seems to be on-par with finals in terms of content/difficulty from what I can see. I'm trying to swap my F2 jobs to get some ITU experience before applying too...!

That's unfortunate, bad times mate. Is there not a second round?

South-East London, but no details on rotations yet (or, I expect, for quite a while).

And yes, definitely. Let me know when is good for you.
