they positively mark. so if you did all of the right things, and a few random points (that weren't incorrect but weren't relevant) you will be fine

points i included in the OMAM passage:

wind blows the leaves- showing disruption to george and lennie's dream
shakily- he is frightened to shoot lennie but also devastated as he is losing his best friend
dutifully- lennie is oblivious to what is happening and still obeys george
reference to lennies head- earlier in the book it mentions the back of the head is the least painful place - george is caring
darkening slope- conceptual metaphor showing a bad atmosphere and evil
valleys are becoming 'bluer'- george is doing the right thing and things will improve for him (not sure about this?)

Are these good points? I missed out good ones that i highlighted such as the evening showing the end of the day and the end of life etc. i also missed the part about snapping the safety on the gun, as this would have made a good point :frown:

AIC was ok but OMAM was terrible! I only did one paragraph for the extract and then failed to answer the question properly for the second part. bye bye a*

I chose the conflict question for AIC oh my lord it was beautiful. I wrote like 3 pages on the Inspector's closing monologue. It was so detailed. Like I was analysing the word 'and' type of detailed. OMAM was questionable. I see where they were trying to link to with part b but it was actually a flop. They didn't even pick the good part of the extract to analyse, if you're going to talk about section 6, use the beginning of section 6 with all the description. I ran out of time, I just about did 2 paragraphs for each but the last one was clearly rushed.

I did OMAM and AIC. I feel like I'm one of the very few people that chose the conflict question for AIC but I mentioned things like socialist and capitalist views and conflict between the social classes but I forgot to mention the fire blood and anguish quote and how they are harsh words and relate to conflict :frown:

For OMAM I feel like I didn't do enough single word analysis but I read on the mark scheme for last year that you can include mentions of structure and/or language. I'm not sure if that means you can mention just structure and you'll be ok.. Anyone have any ideas?

I did Q17 which was the AIC Sheila & Gerald relationship. I found this question okay but I spent 10 minutes extra on it than I should've had so didn't have a lot of time to do the Section B OMAM questions properly. The extract given was hard to explain how the build up to Lennie's death is predicted but I liked the part B question about dreams. I wrote about Crooks' dream of equality, was also going to write about Curley's wife's dream of being in the "pitchers" but ran out of time. didn't write much about the extract though :/

I did DNA & Mice And men, my friend actually predicted the fact they will mention the American dream in Mice And Men, I didn't believe her but then it came up :redface:

I did the conflict question for an Inspector Calls. Decent, took me 45 minutes, 1 and 3/4 sides (I have tiny handwriting).

The Of Mice and Men question I predicted correctly before the exam, so that was a joy to write about. Took me 25 minutes then 20 minutes for part b. Again, just below 2 sides.
