I'm an idiot, how did I not say battery drain... I think I got an A*, found every question to be quite easy but I somehow got the easiest question about the resistor value wrong - put 100 ohms

Done some research and now that I think about it, the loud noise and nuisance thing could be right. Battery drain would only apply if mains was cut off. It's law for them to turn off after a set period of time because they cause a nuisance.
I found the exam ok, I decided to do section B first because otherwise I would have spent too long on section A. what did you do?
I did the same, always have. Usually works for me but this time I was short of about 10 mins to comfortably finish section A, hence the mess up with the drawings.
