Transporting my stuff to uni

Hey,

I was wondering if there are any companies you guys would recommend for transporting my stuff from London 220 miles north to Yorkshire. No one in my family drives and I've had a look on the internet, and I can only find removal van services, which seem surplus to requirements (and budget). A car would do really.

Any ideas?

Some taxi services do this sort of thing.

I'm in a similar situation, though thankfully only have to go 40 miles, but after a certain point they have set fees as opposed to paying per mile. It'll be pricey, mind, I'm having to pay £50 for the shortish trip.

Phone around and ask really. I phoned a number of places and just went with the best deal.

Learn to drive?

Train? Coach?

Offer to pay someone to drive you there? Like a friend or a family friend?

I'm having to move all my stuff from Lincolnshire to London, which is a similar distance, and am having to take the train, so I'm forcing the rest of the family to help me carry all my stuff :h:
