just bored and actually thought if you people have opinions which firm you find most attractive in the investment banking area?

my own personal opinion goes as follows, this is based on my visits into few of the banks and what interns have told me (ps: not based on salary you will earn obviously, as most are classifying that) :

1. Goldman Sachs
2. JPMorgan
3. UBS
4. CSFB
5. Merrill Lynch
6. Deustche Bank
7. Citigroup
8. RBS
9. Morgan Stanley (Management shake up and a mess at the moment hence i rank it lower)
10. Rothschild
11. Lazard
12. BNP Paribas
13. ABN Amro
14. Bank of America
15. Lehman Brothers
16. Barclays Capital
17. Bear Stearns
18. HSBC (the environment doesn't feel good)
19. Nomura Bank
20. Schroders (hears lot of bad internal news from them from professionals which discourages me a little)

Greenhill dominate most the IBs for basic pay. Although I'm sure that wasn't Wolfie's motivation for putting them in his list. :P
