a MA in Publishing?

I am very much considering studying aspects of publishing after my English and American Studies degree.

I wondered if having a MA in Publishing is worth it, career wise? Or if there are any other courses which are better but still encompass publishing? The best universities for it?

Or is the MA route completely illegitimate anyway when trying to get into publishing?

You can definitely get in without. It strikes me that experience is probably more important.

Having applied for publishing jobs recently and having a friend who went to the Penguin publishers career/graduate day - experience and lots of it is the bottom line.
