Depends on what kind of online degree you are thinking of. There are obviously a lot of bogus degrees around, but if you stick with the Open University , you will be fine. It is considered a great university and employers and postgrad tutors looks very favourable at their degrees.

What are you planning to study?

Can anyone link me to more of such reputable university sites tht offer online degrees?
There's also the American Open University and I know quite a few British universities including London (their external programme is supposed to be good), offer either distance learning or online undergraduate degrees.

Have a look around this site, http://www.rdi.co.uk/prof_path/distlearn/distlearn.html

The Open University (UK) http://www.open.ac.uk offers courses for people living abroad, but they are very expensive. They have a high reputation though, you can either get a named honours degree, like a BSc Psychology, BA Mathematics, etc, or a BA/BSc tailored to your own needs, written BA (Open). For that you just choose courses that interest you personally and make your own profile.
