There are quite a few organisations validated to deliver degree programs online, most big Universities have online versions of some of their programs. However, in the UK there are a few providers who specialise in distance learning.
The Open University - opened by Harold Wilson in the 1960's - obviously it's all on computers these days. They have a good rep.
Arden University - A private provider with all of their degree and masters programs fully validated for delivery. For instance their MSc in Psychology is validated with the British psychological Society (with some providers it is not). I studied there and had a brill time. They also have blended learning options available for a lot of programs.
For an unbiased view check out a QAA report and a Teaching Excellence Framework report for a H.E provider in the UK - they are both readily available online
