Re: Rank your subjects in order of difficulty
Hello,
Out of curiosity has anyone sat Advanced Higher Computing and History simultaneously? Which is easier in terms of workload (I know Comp has a project and History has a dissertation)? Which is more monotonous in content? Which would you choose if you could only pick one of them in retrospect?
Sat both of them at Higher this year (History done, Computing on Thurs) with the expected grade of an A so the content in Higher isn't a problem.
P.S. if you didn't sit both, but just one, how would you relate it in context with other subjects (I'm also sitting AH English and Business Management, column clash and Aberdeen Council budget cuts means I can only pick Comp or History)

Re: Rank your subjects in order of difficultyIs it actually difficult or does it just require a lot of work to learn all the content? How much time per week would you say it requires to get an A? Considering I have five other Highers..(Original post by S119234)

Re: Rank your subjects in order of difficultyYeah, if I self-teach one. Maths and English are basically compulsory. I wanted to study the three sciences as well as History!(Original post by animelover123)

Re: Rank your subjects in order of difficultyHigher History is not so much about just learning all the content, it's hard in terms of the fact that you need to completely change how you approach the exam questions, whereas SG was simply "memorise" and write down all the details in the exam, almost reptitively. Higher is so much more about using what you know to analyse why things happened etc.(Original post by nerd434)

I'd say that by the fact you've put Higher English furthur up the list, shows that History will eventually end furthur up, as they are both hugely essay based and completely different from their prospective SG versions. -
