Science Olympiads

I've seen people talk about them in passing and i was wondering if anyone ahs been on one and how does the school/college apply to go on one.

Any info would be grateful

I did chem and bio olympiads this year - no results yet though....bio is multiple choice answers mainly (thank god) whilst chem is quite mathsy and full of structures. I'm not sure how the schools get papers but it's part of an international competition - you can progress through...some schools train people for months whilst others (e.g. mine) tell you the week before and do it as a laugh...

My schools never mentioned them to us what so ever (well seeing as we have the worst science dept ever, not suprising!

I heard about it when i talked about science at university at a higher ed person, who suggested the olympiads.

Useless post, but i'm also interested in how to apply for these!

I did the biology and physics olympiad and i didn't get through on the physics and I got through to the second round of the biology but i won't be getting any further...not unless someone somewhere makes a mistake marking my paper or i get extremely extremely lucky with my multiple choices...ain't gonna happen is it?
