I'm also 5ft, and haven't had any problem with guys 
the guys i've been with haven't been the tallest guys either though, so reckon it works perfectly for both of us! Don't worry about it though, and wear heels if necessary! I tend to live in heels most of the time, not that I reckon it's made any difference to the way guys have thought at all! xx
