History at Edinburgh

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm unsure whether to go to York or Edinburgh for hitsory. How much freedom and flexibility is there with the history modules at Ed and approximately how much contact time do you get per week?

Hey. Now that's a tough choice. York is a good uni for history (So is Edinburgh - woot). I didn't choose to apply to any English unis though because of the finance, but I would if that wasn't a barrier for poor me.

The flexibility of the course at Edinburgh was something that appealed to me, but not just for history. I wish to study anthropology as a module on the side and archaelogy if that is at all possible.
