Im sure you agree what was said in the 17th post about the commerce bit was complete rubbish. I honestly don't have any advice to give if the OP wants a job in london, and all the others seem to only be interested in league tables (must be a British thing), then its obvious that he choose UCL.

Anyway UNSW has far too many internationals as it is.

Okay, apologies then. It sounds like rubbish to me as well, but doing BA French is not really the best position to make these judgements from...
For one thing, In Australia most specialisations of the finance area come under the blanket of the Bachelor of Commerce Degre...for example, the University of Melbourne offers the Bachelor of Commerce, and the Bacchelor of Commerce (Management)....in the B.Comm degree, u can specialise in economics, accounting, actuarian studies etc.

And UNSW is indeed one of the very respected unis in australia for commerce (thats what the guy at IDP told me).

By the way, this one for Bally.....how does Monash fare in australia? How respected is it compared to Uni Melb or Usyd??? (I need that infor for applying).
I reckon that IBs consider students from universities that are consistently the top 2/3 in that country. So shouldn't worry about being at UNSW or Melbourne. If you have the choice of being between UNSW and UCL and you want to work in London then the obvious choice would be UCL, apart from Macquarie who will know very well the abilities of students from Australian universities.

Melb is more prestigious than Monash (im not sure which course is actually better), but if you have a first from either, it shouldn't matter. ECA usually come into play. But since you're international, it's probably better to go to uni melb, since its in the city and has quite a nice campus. Monash is in a not so great area of melbourne. (althought the uni is highly respected).

What are you applying for? Usyd is not as strong in commerce, and this is supported by the big4 recruitment numbers.

All this sarcasm is such a pain; the  smiley should really be taken off the TSR list of smilies. It's being abused, or rather, it's leading us to be far more hypocritical in many of our posts.

Oh well.
