Shame on him, being a virgin at 21. He's not doing life properly.

What makes you think i'm not doing life properly, the world doesn't revolve around sex
what age would it be "strange" if someone hasn't kissed someone, even if said person (me) hadn't had a girlfriend yet? (I'm 19)

Mine was when I was four. But my first proper kiss was when I was 17

It always amazes me how people can remember that far back! Honestly, I could've kissed someone any age before 8 years but I'd not have remembered it all the way up to now!

I was being sarcastic  I thought it was daft he was claiming you were doing something wrong because you were still a virgin. I am as well

Well tbh I don't think anyone's beaten me yet in the thread. So even if it is strange, there is always someone worse!

I just wondered would it maybe put a girl off if it's at a certain age?

In all honesty it probably does, at 19 however I very much doubt it. Like I'm 2 and half years off from turning 30, and I've had as much experiance as the average primary school child probably has. I don't envisage my situation changing either since I'm not a popular person who people want to socialise with and therefore that compounds my problems more so. So everytime I see these threads regarding insecure 17 year olds worried about their lack of experiance, I'm always think god what must society think of me.

But usually most people aren't too fused (women that is) until you're about 25. By that time you'd have been through university etc and probably expected to have had some experiance. If you don't, it usually signals somebody like me who is a bit socially inadequate. Bleh.

I suppose so, but if I get to the end of uni and nothing has changed, I don't see how it will really (I'm in my second of three year now)

Give yourself time, people do change. As long as you don't go into a bunker like me (as thats what I was doing in my early 20s - stupidly avoiding people) you can always have the ability to meet people, and particularly girls, and thus increase your chances. And of course the more you do that the more you improve your social skills with it.

My advice would be not to put pressure on yourself. You are who you are and its important recognise that we are all different and mature at different rates.

I'm 27 and yes my situation is pretty pathetic. But I have to be able to try and create social opportunities and try to change it if I can, even at this late stage.

I'm currently repeating a levels changing my career so I haven't got the time to do any of this stuff. But if you keep putting yourself out there, you're more likely to succeed.

I don't have any problem socialising with girls per se as my best friend is a girl, but I know what you mean and it is difficult
