The Student Room Group

It's another FullofSurprises weather warning! (Post your bad weather stories here!!)

Big storm on the way!!

West coast to be the worst hit!! :afraid:

As always, I'm sure one or more of our resident TSR weather experts like Rakas21 will be along soon to give us a more accurate forecast!

For now, here is the latest Met satellite.

There's a sort of mini-hurricane out in the Atlantic! :afraid::crazy::afraid:

I really hope nobody gets into real trouble from this. Wherever you are though, do post your storm stories right here on TSR - the place where things really happen!

looks like some light wind pal, what are you scared of?

I live on one of the grey lines. What does it mean?? :nutcase:

Seriously though there is light flooding where I live, which is fun.... Not affecting houses much though. Go a few miles west though, CHAOS.

Red area, fantastic.
Looks like London will be ok.

No need to panic.

Are the grey bits safe then?

You got a good man in charge should the worst happen.

Whereabouts are you?

Looking on the TV it seems like it will be really bad tonight in places.
Now to weather correspondent Ollie Williams:

It's always lovely to see the generous, compassionate spirit of London coming to the fore.
Women delivering weather!?!? What's next nymphs in coats?

Or maybe the BBC don't care what happens up in the tip of Scotland? :colone:

Or perhaps there are just 'no reports' from those windswept places.

Miss weathergirl, will it snow anytime soon?

You need Rakas21 to answer for that kind of detail.

Drewski will shortly arrive as well - to tell us that this is nothing compared to Japan.

Met office doesn't seem to think it'll be too bad, only yellow warnings.

I know! It's shocking. Do you realise some girlies can drive cars as well and even write things on the interweb???

I'd feel more confident having a potato in charge.

I was watched the Thames Barrier being raised today while at work. I felt safe in the knowledge that should the worst happen, I'd be able to sit safely at my desk eating my Pret soup. :u:

But seriously - best of luck to those who live in the areas which will be hit by this storm. Stay safe.
