AS English Literature AQA Section A

Helloo, I'm doing my AS English paper this summer and really worrying about the section A question on narrative techniques etc; 'How does the writer tell the story in...'

Does anyone know how to relate your points to the story? I know we have to focus on AO2 and the language, form and structure and I can usually have things to say on this but never know how to relate it to narrative techniques and how they tell the story...?

Any advice would be great!
I'm studying the DH Lawrence short stories, Robert Frost poetry, Great Gatsby and Tennyson Poetry if that helps :/
