Forced to do foundation english language gcse in college

So I'm in college and I'm going to sit my gcse in English language I previously failed my exam last year due to illness, i have all As in my controlled assessments and discussed with my teacher to sit the higher paper and also with the head of English however she hasn't been in due to strikes and sickness. Saying now because of her absence and mine due to illness only for 3 days I have to sit the foundation tier when I discussed with her and the head of English that I could sit the higher paper. I don't know what to say when I go to see tem both tomorrow 😒😒😒😒 they also stated that the school can't allow student to sit higher tier😥😥😥 when I true discussing the subject with my teacher she said next week but now she said that I missed the opportunity when I was ill
