Second chance learning

Hi all,

I'm very excited about getting into education again. I dropped out of my degree the first time when my husband and I decided to start a family (yes, I married young) but now the children are getting bigger I want to study again and have found OU to be both the easiest and cheapest way to do it.

I'm only doing a 10 point course to start with and will follow that with another 10 point but I have my degree plan set out and it will get more intensive as time goes on when the demands of the children lessen (the little one starts school Sept 2007).

Are there any other parents or others here using the OU for a 'second chance'?

Hi MB

I'm in pretty much the same position as you - kids are getting older now and I'm doing an OU degree, having declined a place at brick uni 14 years ago because of my family commitments. I'm doing a social science degree and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. What subject are you studying?
