i think it's B even though people always say C
'tis probably C seems that it's the grade a lot seem to aim for
Although, I don't think an average is correct. A median or mode of the results is better, and would definitely be a C
Also the average can't be an a*
Imagine
A* = 8
A = 7
B = 6
C = 5
D = 4
Adding up the grades of each student in the UK and dividing by total exam entries, it's likely the result might be 5.3 or 4.9, I.e. not exactly a whole grade.
For the 'average' to be an a* - 8 - every exam entry must be an a*. I have an A at gcse so the average is <8 already.
