Mention university name in PS?

I am sending Durham a substitute personal statement, which only they will see, should I put 'this I why I want to study ___ at Durham' or does that look desperate?
small detail I know, but it's stressing me out

I wouldn't recommend just chucking in the university name.

What you *can* use a direct PS like this to do is to highlight the features of the course or university that are unique and attract you. This will demonstrate that you've done your research into the course content, structure, teaching methods etc both at Durham and elsewhere.
