Australian is #1 - definitely! I love a female French and Spanish voice also!
So many people saying Scottish, wtf? Haha I'm Scottish and I definitely don't agree :') Australian, South African ones can be nice too
Attractive: well-spoken Southern England (i.e. "posh")

Unattractive: Basically anything else, especially regional British accents

I don't know why I really don't like Australian, New Zealand, Canadian and South African accents

"American"? :curious:

That's like someone saying "British".
Scottish

Not really many others tbh. Also, the accent isn't the be all and end all. If any thing it's a nice to have as it were!

I also found that when learning another language, it can be hard to even hear accents at all. I am learning Mandarin, and my teacher can tell us where certain people are from in China based on the way the speak (like we can do with our language) but I cannot hear a difference AT ALL! They all sound the exact same to me. I asked my friend (who is from Russia) and she said that she had a hard time hearing accents until she moved to the states, and then she started hearing slight accents variations. But I would imagine, a lot of accent and dialect understanding can only come and make sense if it is your native language. Or at least one you studied for YEARS and years.

Which tbh, makes a lot of sense to me!
slightly posh geordie girls , certain irish accents, Welsh girls who sound like Cerys Matthews

Yeah, that's a good point.

A lot of Americans I know probably would say "British" but I don't think they'd be so keen if it was a Glaswegian builder talking to them.
