Spoiler

my predicted results are : hehe they're bad
maths-B/A
chemisty- A/A*
physics- B/A
biology- A/A*
English-B/A
latin- A*
classics-A*
rs- A*
german B
do you know what!!

basically even though im predicted fairly good results all A*-B's in my gsce's
but I think they are going down by a whole grade, because we also found out that our year is one of the first years to try out the whole gsce module. and the gov made the tests very hard and different than the last time, apparently our teachers have seen the new syllabus and they are all really hard and very different then what the other years have normally sat.. that means more pressure.

I don't want to go to year 10 :frown:

so for those who are sitting their gsce's in 2016 you are so lucky x

Depending on how you do in admissions test- such as the UKCAT and the BMAT they should be fine.

And your AS

Just don't apply to GCSE heavy unis

yeah theyre are such things as UKCAT test, some uni's wont really care about your gcse's but you would need to try for A-levels they're also important

I'm so worried I need at least 23 A* for medicine but I think I've got 22A* and an A in additional further pure Maths

Considering there's no such thing as additional further pure maths... This is seriously amusing at GCSE anyways

This is what I'm hoping:
Maths A*
Chemistry A*
Biology A*
Physics A*
English Lit A
English Language A
History A*
Geography A*
French A*
German A*
Further Maths A^ / A*

I'm hoping I get an A in english lit but this could be a B, I wrote a load of rubbish as the questions were not great, but they might like it 😂
Oops forgot R.E - A*
(edited 8 years ago)
I like it how many people on this feed are really determined to get A*/A in like 95% of their subjects - Mate I was just hoping to get a D or Above when I received mine.
Yeah I guess

Yaah, my school spread our gcses over the course of three years. So we do two GCSEs in year 9, three in year 10, and the rest in year 11 lol.
overall grade predictions and individual exam and course work predictions/ grade already had
english lang C/B (WJEC)
- UNIT 1 - B (PREDICTION)
- UNIT 2 - D (already had this back in march after the examiners poor marking a lot had worse than me)
- UNIT 3 - B (had coursework mark back last year)
- UNIT 4 - B (had coursework mark back last year)

english lit C/B (WJEC)
- UNIT 1 - C (although had full marks on foundation which was the same mark as a B on higher)
- UNIT 2A - B (PREDICTION)
- UNIT 3 - C (had coursework mark back last year)

maths linear B/A (WJEC)
PAPER 1 - B (PREDICTION AROUND 45-50 MARKS)
PAPER 2 - A (PREDICTION AROUND 55-65 MARKS)
(did this exam in nov 2014 and had a C 6 marks off a B)

history (b ) C/B (EDEXCEL)
UNIT 1 CHANGES THROUGH MEDICINE - C (PREDICTION)
UNIT 2 AMERICAN WEST - B (PREDICTION)

UNIT 1 - C (PREDICTION)
UNIT 2- C (PREDICTION)
UNIT 3- A (coursework) ( had this back just before i did my exams)

science (b) D (couldn't be bothered as i already had a C in additional before last exam) (WJEC)
UNIT 1 - D (this is the only unit i resit but think i will have a D overall like last year 0 effort for this as everything else was more important and passed my other science)
UNIT 2 -D ( didn't resit)
UNIT 3 -D (coursework didn't redo )

additional science B (WJEC)
CHEMISTRY 2 - C/B (had a C the first time i did this paper full marks foundation so did higher to try get a better chance of an overall B)
PHYSICS 2 - C ( had 2 marks from a C the first time i did this paper resit foundation again to get marks to make sure i get an overall B)
BIOLOGY 2 - C (PREDICTION) (haven't done this paper before however found it much easier than chemistry so should get the full UMS mark which is all i need for a B overall) (resat others incase i was a few short)
COURSEWORK (PHYSICS) A - (had this back before i resit )

child development B/A (WJEC)
UNIT 1 (EXAM) - C/B (PREDICTION)
UNIT 2 (COURSEWORK) (CHILDSTUDY) - A* (but this has been sent off so could change slightly thats why I'm not 100% sure of an overall A
UNIT 3 (COURSEWORK) ( COOKING) - A ( this also unfortunatly got sent off so could change this is again why i can't be sure of overall A, if only 1 had been sent off i would have been a bit more sure of it)

Applied business B/A (WJEC)
UNIT 1- B (PREDICTION) (did this exam a year ago and come out with a C 1 mark from a B, but after i did my coursework i already had an overall B however i resit to get an A but I'm not sure if i will get it or not)
