Empress Orchid - What happens?

hey guys basically i bought the book. read the first couple chapters then got lazy and stopped reading it.

any of you guys know what happens at the end?
i've heard that she dies?

You really shouldn't be taking short cuts like this, as literature is all about the escaping into the world of the book and you can only do that if you indulge and comitt yourself to the book! Empress Orchids really fascinating because of its plot of twists and turns. The eponymous protagonist doesnt die in the end she eventually becomes Empress but her empire is on the verge of breakdown. After a while she gets kidknapped- by the British i think- but she escapes and creates like a new empire which is far more successful. Its a happy ending, but i really do recommend you read it yourself- you never know you may just enjoy it!
