NVQ Hairdressing...

I'm 16 and have been looking at the NVQ Hairdressing courses. Now, logically, I thought if you have had no prior experienece as a hairdresser you'd start at Level 1. But after talking to a lot of people about NVQ's, the majority said its best to start at Level 2, even if you've had no prior experience in the subject.

After consulting the syllabuses of both Level 1 and Level 2. It appears only at Level 2 you even start hairstyling. Level 1 appears to basically be the theory of hairdressing.

What do you suggest starting with for someone with no prior experiences?
