University of York - Freshers 2015

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it! I kinda gave up on York because I thought I failed Maths, but still got in with ABB somehow, so that was a relief... Hoping that Derwent's reputation for partying and socials is all it's cracked up to be :smile:

Same here, don't want to have to take the bus every morning. I just found the post code for our block after a lot of searching btw, it's YO10 5FJ if you need it for student finance

I looked on the fresher's website and I'm still confused about when it all starts :s

And what's the difference between an economy and standard room?

Oo and how many people share a bathroom?

Yeah I was a bit worried because I thought I'd failed economics, but though I missed my grades I got A*AB with the A* in history so I think that's what secured my place - it was a a relief because York was my favourite uni of all the open days I went to, hence why it was my firm.

I know, I've read a lot on here about how Derwent has a big reputation for organising good social events, but I guess a lot depends on whether the people living in the college are up for that, so we'll soon see 😄

I'm going to be doing Computer Science, I'm joining Goodricke and I'm going to be living in Janet Baker court. I really can't wait and I want to get to know some people before I go (especially people in Goodricke and/or Compsci's!)
