Which campus is better?

I know Cambridge is 'pretty' and all that and that those in Cambridge will say Cambridge is better and those in Chelmsford will say chelmsford

But in terms of campus, facilities, clubs and the general feel of the areas which is nicer

Hi Spencer!

We're glad you're considering studying with us at ARU and we can't wait to welcome you! :h:

When it comes to campuses, with ARU, you're in luck! Our students on either campus have plenty of good things to say! it seems as though you're deciding between Cambridge and Chelmsford, although we have campuses in London and Peterborough (depending on what you'd like to study).

Our Cambridge campus is the largest out of the two - and Cambridge as a city is slightly busier than Chelmsford, which creates a nice buzz. Our Cambridge campus isn't far from the city centre at all, so you'll be able to get involved in the exciting social scene. It's also historically known as the 'centre of learning', which is great!

Chelmsford is also an exciting city - compact and easy to get around on foot or by bicycle. If you're into festivals, you'll be pleased to know that Chelmsford is the home of the annual V Festival! There are museums, a large shopping centre which hosts most popular high street stores as well as beautiful open spaces and parks to enjoy.

In terms of facilities and clubs, both campuses have a Student's Union which offers plenty of clubs and societies for you to join - it all depends on what you're in to! Have a look here to find a club or society that may be of interest to you.

Ultimately it's your choice to make, but we want you to have the best time at uni, and that includes finding the right place to stay. Have you been down to any of our Open Days yet? It might be a good idea for you to get a feel of what our campuses are like for yourself. If you haven't yet, you can book a place to visit one of our campuses which hopefully help you make the right choice for you!

Hope this helped!

- Natalie
