York as insurance - chances of getting accommodation?

So I've put York as my insurance, and while I know that they do still guarantee me a room, I'm wondering what are my chances of getting one of my choices. Also I'm gonna apply today probably and I'm wondering whther I'm late, as they opened the application system on the 9th of this month and I've read that "most applications are done in the first week after the opening of the application system".

My first choice would be Derwent economy self catered.
