I am remotely considering going to the University of Sussex. I think it would be a hell of a commute between London and the university but I'm wondering if it's actually doable as I'd rather stay in London.

Its not practical by road. The roads are far too clogged these days and it would take forever. If there is an appropriate city hopper service that is affordable then maybe. No idea whether they do such flights to Sussex tho.
