FREE
(can be topped up, 10p/text and 15p/minute.)
Occasionaly get a couple of texts as advertising, (it says up to 6 a day, I've never had anywhere near that many), normally one every 2 or 3 days.
You must be between 16 and 24 years old and living in mainland Britain
You need an invite. Texting ‘FRESH’ to 82595 worked for me, but that was a couple of months ago. I've got some free invites. If you pm me, I might be able to give you one.

Edit: I don't have any invites atm

Sticky needs to be updated with the link provided by MatchDancer and the following needs to be removed as it no longer works:

Dot.Mobile - www.dotmobile.co.uk/ucas

Also, so the Sony Ericsson link redirects to this now:

Hi, does anyone own a Nokia N81, and if yes , is it good? Or basically, what do you think would be the best phone for music/watching videos, and wifi (i don't want an i-phone though ... )
if anyone has ideas...

Are LG Chocolate phones out of fashion nowadays? They're so cheap and seem pretty decent to me!
How could you forget E2Save they have some of the best cash back deals!

My phone is due for an upgrade and I am really struggling to choose the right one for me. The contract that I have chosen is for 18 months so I want one which is going to last.

I was thinking about an Nokia N96 8GB but I am worried it might be a bit bulky. Anyone got any ideas? I would quite like a camera and a reasonably long battery.

Would be very grateful for any advice :s-smilie:
I really need a new phone, since I currently have a Motorola RAZR V3 which I got all the way back in 2005/6... and it's starting to die (crashes, turns off randomly, doesn't send texts etc)

So, I've been looking at the Samsung U600, J700 and E900. Anyone give me any help?

I personally really like the following:

Nokia 6500

Samsung Soul

SE C902

Personally, I like Nokias and Samsungs. I refuse to buy LGs and Motorolas, and I'm not overly keen on Sony Ericssons. But that's largely subjective.

The N96 is quite bulky which is why I don't like it, I like to go for phones which can fit in my pocket or handbag easily. But it seems like a good phone with a solid amount of memory.

If you need any more help please let me know

O2 are offering unlimited texts when you pay for a certain number of minutes: http://www.o2.co.uk/mobilestariffs/tariffs/o2textfreedom

This one looks excellent, too - http://shop.o2.co.uk/tariffs/SIMONLY/benefits/Online_25#Online_25

I'm not a huge fan of Orange, but this tarriff does look good: http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/yourplan/additionalservices

As far as I can see they all offer decent handsets as well.

Good luck!

Hi... I've never had a mobile phone in England, and I was wondering, what exactly do they mean by 200 anytime minutes (Orange DOolphin 15), they don't give many details, is it landline calls + mobile phone calls
They also say out of plan calls, numbers beginning with 07, but my dad's mobile begins with 07... I'm a bit lost... Could anyone help me?

Usually 200 anytime minutes means just that. You can call landline and mobile numbers.

The out of plan calls are usually numbers that are 070... they are not mobile numbers but personal numbers. Do not call these numbers as they charge you quite a bit. Most mobile numbers begin with 077/078/079 and recently 075.

I've just got this contract a couple of weeks ago. If your not fussed about the mobile phone and just want a cheap contract with a decent amount of minutes and texts, then this may be for you.

http://www.mobiles2yourdoor.co.uk/Contract_Offer_Details.asp?ItemKey=187744&MPItemKey=191706

Cashback redemption 12 months contract. End price comes to £40.

Hope this helps.
