Clearing entry requirements

I have got BCD and am in clearing, alot of the courses I see are BCC (for computer science) does anyone know if they are lenient on the D because:
1. it was 4 marks off a C
2. It's Psychology which has nothing to do with computer science
So pls help or unless u know any good clearing unis for comp sci, as I didn't see a thread on here

Thank you

Hi there :hello:

You can always ring the unis up and ask the worst they can say is no :yep:

But I do advise you look at other options in line with your achieved grades as well

Hey @stopaskingsomuch

Congrats on your results, I hope you're feeling proud of yourself! Like others have said, it's definitely worth ringing up and asking, that's the only way you'll find out.

Good luck, please do keep us updated in here

Hi there, I would definitely suggest contacting the universities you're interested in directly to see if they will be able to make you an offer.

Have a look into the universities you could be going to and tick of the basic questions like: Does this university offer the course I’m interested in? What GCSEs do I need to get onto this course? How many A-levels (or other level 3 courses) do I need, and what subjects should I study in order to enrol?

Once you have got the answers to those questions then there is no harm in contacting the universities directly through their clearing team. Make sure you have your personal details to hand including your number, email, and grades. This might seem a bit obvious but it's easy to forget things over the phone or if you're typing quickly on a livechat!

Ask about the course you want to study, and the team will be able to advise you on your next steps. They may even suggest a different course but please don't feel rushed into a decision. If you're set on a particular course then why not look into a different uni? Weigh up your options and take advice from the clearing teams as they'll be the experts, you won't know for certain unless you try but there's no harm in going for it!

I hope this helps you and good luck with your applications today

Best wishes,

Maddy

Hi there,

Firstly a big congratulations on your results!

All your hard work has paid off! If you would like to study Computer Science I would recommend having a look on different university course pages to see if their courses interest you. You could then call up the universities your are interested in to see what options are available to you.

Wishing you all the best,

Hi,

It is not spam. We are just replying to students who have questions/ would like advice about clearing and making them aware of our courses that have places available through clearing.

Results day can be daunting for A-Level students, so offering advice and information about available courses can be helpful

Thank you.
