WHO DID A FOUNDATION COURSE - medicine ???

Hi,
So I didn't do as well on my AS as i thought, so now deciding to do foundation course med (6 year course instead of five). I want to know if anyone has done this, or is currently doing it? Just tell me all about it?
Do you go straight into the 5 year programme?
Are you tested at the end of it?
How hard is it to get in?
What uni's did you apply to?

Thank you so much

Foundation courses tend to be aimed at those with special circumstances and from disadvantaged backgrounds, at least from the research I have done in the past. The eligibility criteria is usually incredibly specific and often tailored towards local/surrounding areas.

As far as I'm aware from 2nd year onwards it runs just the same as any other 5 year med course, although their may be some leniency in exams and such but these will probably be on an individual basis.
