I am absolutely livid about AQA's remarking and Ofqual's regulations, which are pathetic. My economics paper had a clear error in the marking - as my ten marker should have been band 3, not the low band 2 that they gave. My economics department at school agreed with me, and advised me to get it remarked.
I just got the paper back and instead of adding the additional three marks needed to get the A, they decided to take a mark off!! You cannot play damned politics with students' futures, this is just ridiculous!!
My application to Cambridge is clearly going to be an utter catastrophe now, and it's all because of Ofqual's terrible regulations!!! They're putting the System over the Individual so that the horrific marking system can look legitimate.
This is absolutely outrageous. I would consider appealing the result, but there's no chance of that happening, as their incompetence will clearly remain consistent and wouldn't even be back in time for the UCAS Oxbridge deadline. What a ridiculous show.
All other countries are making it easier for students to achieve, but here we seem to be crushing our students in their tracks instead of giving them the marks they clearly deserve from marking errors. Shame on you, Ofqual and AQA, shame on you.
