i cant get my timetable cause ive forgotten which modules i chose :frown:

i think jobs are really good to have at uni.. keeps you in touch with "the real world :wink:

" and if you can come out of uni with a degree and work experience youve done pretty well!

Ive also found that its good to get away from student life.. i spend every day with one group who i live and socialise with, another that i have lectures with.. so i find its nice to have a completely seperate social group with people from really varied backgrounds.

on the timetables it tells you which rooms you'll be in. look at the timetable, it'll be at the bottom of the square. e.g. C16+ POPE means room C16 in the POPE building. (the plus indicates it's a huge room that's all)

i never knew what the + meant..

Theres also an index of room abbreviations somewhere... i remember last year having 'A+ CBS' as a room, and no-one had a clue what it was.. Turns out its the new huge auditorium which was, at the time, only half built...

SD, at least you can search for your main core module timetable,and when you get back and you remember your subsids,you can find out the timetable for those :smile:

erm ive looked on that timetable thingy..and i cant find my course
so either its not up or im lossing it liek ive said
the course number is T900
Modern Language Studies (french/Spanish/Portugese)
looked in the school of modern languages section and all it has is mod lang with buissness
which is not mine

its not just subsids.. i have no core modules! i know 2 of them, but cant for the life of me remember which other two i chose.. ah well, someones got to know i guess!

if its a new module it may not be up there..

I tried to log on to that careers web-site with my new username and all, but it said that username or password was not found. Why's that? Is it so that I can't use the page until I've actually registered in person, too?

you can log on to the main portal (http://my.nottingham.ac.uk/) with your new username/password; are you still trying to use the prospective student portal?

oh, sorry, didn't read your post properly.

It might be that you can't access the site at all from off campus, or it might be that your username hasn't propagated completely, and so it won't let you log on yet. If you give it 48 hours and it still won't let you log on, it's probably that you can't access it off campus.
