would prefer dentistry myself!

dont understand ppl who want to become vets, so many of them, why just shoot the damn animals!!

The course at university is the same length, but in dentistry you have to complete a one year vocational training course before you can practise properly. I'm not sure what post-degree training there is after a medicine degree.

Graduating from medical school is in Churchill's words only "the end of the beginning" - there's a long haul of experience and examination ahead whatever you decide to specialise in, including a pre-registration year as in Dentistry.
