High % Chem students fail lots of units in year 1Cardiff

Best way to ask the Uni if this is standard to have such high fail rate or could it due to no real teaching taking place this year do it yourself just is not working.
Cardiff will not provide mark schemes for past papers - just told do it and work it out yourself if it is correct or not

Ask the Students' Union about the procedure for accessing this information - often first year STEM courses have considerably higher fail rates than other first year courses. Or you could ask your course rep to take this up with Board of Study?

in previous years only 87% continued after 1 year https://discoveruni.gov.uk/course-details/10007814/UFBSCEME/Full-time/ that does seem quite low

Talk to your course rep and SU. The SU should have representation on exam boards and so should be able to see the results from previous years to see if there has been a drop.
