History NEA help (structure + approach)
I'm doing my NEA on Civil Rights in the USA from about 1865-1968 and the question is To what extent was Federal Government inaction the main barrier in the advancement of the Civil Rights movement?
I've mostly written my answer and my teacher says the knowledge is fine and all I'll have to do is shuffle things around. However, she says I need to take a thematic approach.
I guess the theme is federal government inaction however I'm not sure how I then do this and still incorporate my line of argument or other factors. Because my approach is wrong, my sources and interpretations aren't really being used to their full extent so I'm now unsure on how I 'use' them.
If anyone has any advice or suggestions about how to do this with a potential general structure to take that would be greatly appreciated.
