College lied about when I left the course, Student Finance says I've been overpayed?

I received a letter from my college saying that they were going to discuss my withdrawal on the 7th of March, and I would receive a letter of the outcome of the meeting, to which I have not even received yet. I have now received a letter from Student Finance saying that my College said I withdrew on the 28th February and because of it I have been overpaid, is this even fair? Can I do anything to help my case?

Your college didn’t lie, they’ve made a mistake. Gather evidence that proves the actual date you withdrew and contact the college to understand how they made that error, and what information it was based on
