If it's a required subject for the degree that you want to do and the university accept A Levels after 6th form, yeah.

I wouldn't go the full 9 yeards and do the exam (and assessment) if it's not a required subject though.

If you want to see what studying the subject is like, then A Levels can give you a good general idea (not necessarily specific to uni though).

What is it you are planning to do? Generally people who do this would be doing a STEM subject because pretty much all of them other than computer science is a required subject.
