want to get into hr/recruitment

Hi guys, I’m currently working at a call centre making minimum wage and really want to get out. i’ve done some research and hr and recruitment is something i’m really into. The problem is I have no experience in that sector and also dropped out of university so no real qualifications other than alevels and gcses. Any tips for someone wanting to get into recruitment?
Are you on LinkedIn? Connect with recruitment specialists. Contact people and ask if they have any entry-level positions. Contact temp agencies like Reed and see if they are taking people on.
I've moved your thread to a more appropriate place in the forums. In future, please check if your thread could be posted elsewhere. Thank-you!

Hi!

First off where are you based? Do you have any languages you speak? There are LOADS of recruitment agencies, each with different focuses. For instance I'm part of an agency that deals with the European continent so I recruit German speakers without experience. Most people fall into recruitment rather than seeking it out as a career so it isn't uncommon for people without experience to enter the industry. You do want to be careful though - it's an industry with great people and monsters, so look into individual companies. Connect with recruiters on LinkedIn, as has already been suggested. Build up your LI. Make sure your CV is tailored to show skills you have that are relevant - sales experience, rapport building, phone work, resilience, sticking things out (those are key in recruitment)
