For me, it was definitely the chance to live more independently - as great as my family are, being able to do things on my own time without other people watching or commenting has been fantastic. I can also buy entire cakes for myself without judgement, which trust me, is definitely a plus.
Do you have any doubts about starting, or is it mostly just nerves? Are you fairly confident you'll get the results required for your course or are you looking a bit more into the clearing process?
If I do go to university some day I'd be most excited for the course and chance to get a degree... I'm not looking forward to other aspects of it.
