I'm doing geology at uni in September and wondered if anybody had an idea of reading around the subject or what books I should get in preparation for it? Any ideas/inputs would be much appreciated x
A short history of nearly everything by Bill Bryson, although maybe getting a bit out of date.
The Planet in a Pebble: A journey into Earth's deep history by Jan Zalasiewicz.
You can also ask the University department if they have a recommended reading list.
