can you apply for cambridge deferred entry

i assumed all unis accepted applications for deferred entry, but someone told me that cambridge doesn't? they told me that you'd have to apply during your gap year rather than in y13? is that true?
The only course I'm aware of at Cambridge which doesn't consider deferred entry is graduate entry medicine.

That said some colleges may discourage it (along with gap years in general) for mathematics applicants. This is not universal and most nowadays also don't have a huge issue if you are doing something mathematical in the gap year.

For all other courses I'm not aware of them caring about it particularly.

If in doubt you can always ask them directly!

Also, worst case scenario as you're taking a gap year anyway you can reapply in the gap year
