economics personal statement - extra curriculars, work experience, wider reading etc

does anyone know of any specific work experience, extra curriculars or books u can read?
or anything else to add To a PS
Economics is an academic degree not a vocational one. Work experience won’t be helpful.

As with all academic personal statements the key is to make some time to read/listen/study/watch academic content (books, blogs, podcasts, radio shows, online and in person lectures, moocs) that you find interesting. Let your academic curiosity lead you and reflect on what you’ve done. Was it interesting, challenging, surprising? How did you approach understanding something difficult? What linked to topics you’ve already studied? What topics do you want to study in more depth at university?

If you’re guided by your genuine interests then that enthusiasm for your subject will be clear in your PS and your PS will demonstrate both understanding and motivation for your chosen degree.
