English language gcse questions

Looking back at mocks and practice exam questions, one of the main criticisms was that I didn't write a good introduction to the essay or paragraphs. Every time, I kept getting it wrong, and I don't know how to write a good introduction even after all this time. Does anyone have any ideas on how to start an essay??
The introduction is setting out the argument, so give a brief of what the essay is about.

First paragraph the reason why for and against argument.

The second and third paragraphs are the arguments either way

The last is the conclusions saying why you go with one argument and not the other.

That’s the very basics. Try Mr Bruff on You Tube. He does excellent tutorials.
