LSE Politics and Econ

I would like to apply for politics and econ at LSE, even though I am applying for PPE at some other unis. This is because of the difference in the PPE course at LSE compared to other unis (it’s four years with all three disciplines compulsory for three years).

My main question is would this make me disadvantaged for the LSE pol+econ course as I would be applying with a personal statement that has some philosophy in it aswell?

Also: Has anyone done this and been successful?
