National Insurance number

Hi,

My daughter has been accepted for Student Finance but needs a National Insurance number. She is a UK national but has been living in the EU.

My understanding was that Student Finance contacts DWP who sends out an information pack with a form? or is there another way to apply?

We haven't recieved anything and are worried she won't be able to get her NINO in time.
