Plenty of shops in and around Glasgow city centre and outskirts in shopping centres are looking for people right now so yes you have a good opportunity in finding work.

Try applying via retailers own websites for positions especially right now as will be looking for Xmas temporary staff leading hopefully to permanent work.
Primark, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Argos and boots and Morrisons, McDonald's and KFC are some places you can look for jobs plus maybe some of your wee local shops that requires people.

It depends on what you want to do.

You can get a job at most shops, supermarkets, fast food places, cinemas, cafes, restaurants, local attractions, touristy type places etc etc.
Look on websites such as indeed.com. Also look at companies own websites as some companies have their vacancies on the careers part of their website and require you to apply online. Also look in shop windows, local notice boards etc etc.
